«Coronation Robe design I» is all gold with a red vein on serge and silk velvet (also off-white vein on silk velvet).

«Coronation Robe Design II» has gold reserve design and coloured background in the following colour backgrounds: venetian red 03, araldic blue 16, slate 04, moss green 17 on Vincent serge (linen/cotton serge). Red and off-white backgrounds (which can be dyed), on the silk velvet

.«Coronation Robe Design III» has gold background reserve and coloured design in the same colours

The collection plays with the different variations of this very balanced negative/positive pattern, the most outstanding effect being the different textures of the metallic gold reserve, the organic substances generating cristalline highlights, against the mutable shades of the hand-brushed dyes.

Iconography: the «Coronation Robe» designs are Inspired from the painted robes of Venetian dignitaries and Doges, and more specifically from a pattern on a painting representing the coronation of a doge from our house. The sea creatures in the medallions recall John Davy, the ghastly flying dutchman's captain, hunting the world's seas.

Production: Hand-printed with organic glues, metallic golds and high quality dyes.
